“On the Lawn,” a meet and greet with Superintendent Andre’ Ponder will be held on Friday, July 30th, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Mineral County School District’s Administration Office. The District Office is located at 751 A Street.
This casual outdoor event will be an opportunity for community members, staff, and students to meet the new Superintendent. Mr. Ponder will offer brief comments beginning at 5 p.m. with a Q & A period to follow.
The District’s “Safe Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services” plan will be available and other pertinent School District documents. In planning the event, Mr. Ponder stated, “I’m very interested in initiating the process of sharing information and receiving feedback from our stakeholders.” During Mr. Ponder’s first 30-days in office, it has been noticed that he is a strong communicator, collaborator, and believer in building consensus. “We have an opportunity to not only return safety to in-person instruction but unite in working together for the best education possible for our children.”
This outdoor venue has been selected to help ensure a safe small gathering. Light refreshments will be provided.
